PQ72389: MSGIQC6102 ISSUED WHEN RUNNING WITH IMS V8

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IQC6102 QUEUE SPACE NOTIFICATION WARNING.  IMS RELEASE LEVEL 04
  IS NOT SUPPORTED BY IQCQSPC0 is issued when running against
  IMS V8.  This APAR will enhance the error message text and add
  documentation to the User's Guide stating that user's of IMS V8
  and above should remove the IQCQSPC0 exit from the system.
  The new enhanced exit is DFSQMRH0/IQCQMRH0.
  

Local fix

• Link IQCQRMH0 with the sample link job as DFSQMRH0 in RESLIB
  and remove IQCQSPC0 before starting IMS V8.  Sample link job:

Problem summary

  IQCQSPC0 is not supported with IMS level 8 and up.
  When installed - IMS is looping with DFS060 messages.
  The warning message does not show IMS level correct.
  

Problem conclusion

• IQCQSPC0 has been changed to issue IQC6201 message;-IQC6102
  QUEUE SPACE NOTIFICATION WARNING:IMS RELEASE LEVEL IS NOT
  SUPPORTED BY IQCQSPC0-REMOVE EXIT.
  After this message the program abends.
  The message is documented in QCF User's guide
