Error description

Issue #1: S0C1 abend is occurring if an application terminates itself with a non-zero return code after making only one successful CHKP call. Issue #2: An option is needed to force a WTOR allowing an operator to allow or disallow an unexpected extended restart from occurring. Recommendation: Install the recommended maintenance. This maintenance is being held so you will be aware of documentation changes to the Program Restart user guide: - Under the section specifying Inclusion Data Set Options, add the following text: AUTOWTOR=YES Specifying this option will cause Program Restart to issue a WTOR if an automatic extended restart can be performed. Message IRT014A is displayed requiring an operator to reply YES, NO or ABEND. Replying 'YES' will have the affect of allowing Program Restart to automatically support the extended restart. Replying 'NO' will have the affect of ignoring the extended restart. Replying 'ABEND' will cause the job to terminate with a user abend code of U3627. - Add the following abend code: 3627 Explanation: AUTOWTOR=YES was specified in the Inclusion Options Data Set, an automatic extended restart was possible, and the operator replied ABEND to the IRT014A WTOR when the job was resubmitted. System Action: The job step abnormally terminates with a U3627 completion code. User Response: See message IRT014A for more details. - Change the following message: IRT014A REPLY WITH AUTOXRST OPTION: "YES", "NO" OR "ABEND" Explanation: Program Restart has identified the running job as possibly requiring an extended restart. This WTOR is displayed because the installation coded AUTOWTOR=YES in the PRF Inclusion Options Data Set. System Action: The job waits until an operator replies YES, NO or ABEND. If the reply is YES, the job will continue with an automatic extended restart. If the reply is NO, the job will continue, but no extended restart will take place. If the reply is ABEND, the job will abend U3627. rogrammer Action: None Comments: The following modules and/or macros are affected by this PTF: Modules: IRTPRE00 IRTAOPT0 IRTXSC05 IRTXSC06 IRTXSC07 IRTXSC08
