**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of Communications Server * * for OS390 Release 10 and z/OS * * Version 1 Release 2 IP Telnet facilities. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EZZ6035I messages with code 6005 and * * parm1 a -11 on a SSL read. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** EZBTTSRV has a FSM set up to recognize when SSL is asking for a HDR , the length and then the data. MVS SSL was changed in R12 that causes this to fail. This cause an incorrect data count and returned 0 to SSL which now causes the Read Error -11 to be returned. For R10, the return of rcvdlen of 0 will also cause the -11 to be returned. The FSM in R10 is okay. +-------------------------------------------------------------+ + Please check our Communications Server for OS/390 homepages + + for common networking tips and fixes. To resolve this problem, EZBTTSRV for both R10 and R12 will set a -1 Rcvdlen which causes the SKREADEXIT to set ewouldblock back to SSL. In addition, for R12, the code has been changed to set the correct states in the FSM and calculate the amount of data correctly.
