Error description

  • NCS C Pre-Processor generates output dataset with a
record format that cannot be used as input to the SQL
    C Pre-Processor.
Customer reports in prior release (V3R1) they were able to pre-
allocate the dataset, now NCS C PP overrides the format
    specifications. SYS1.TCPIP.SEZAINST(RUNCPP)
On the V3R2 system, where problem exists, LE/370 runtime library
    is being used.
    Additional keyword: CPP MSGDSNH003I

    ****************************************************************
NCS C pre-processor generates an output dataset with a record
format that cannot be used as input to the SQL C pre-processor.
The message "DSNH003I DSNHISORT FILE 'SYSIN ' PARAMETERS
INCORRECT." is generated by the SQL C pre-processor.

Using the C/370 V2R1 runtime library, the customer able to
preallocate a dataset so that the record format was appropriate
for the SQL C pre-processor. Using either C/370 V2R2 or LE
runtime libraries, the NCS C pre-processor changes the file
    attributes of the preallocated dataset.

Problem conclusion

  • CPP1 has been modified so that if a file is preallocated its
    attributes are not changed.
