Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for * * z/OS who import a change that includes * * statements of unqualified objects with * * a SET CURRENT SQLID statement before them * * but does not contain a SET SCHEMA * * statement. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS, * * when importing a change which * * contains unqualified objects with a * * SET CURRENT SQLID statement * * before it but does not contain a SET * * SCHEMA statement, if the import is * * successful, an Analyze is performed, * * and the status is changed to * * 'ANALYZED'. The user then imports * * another change that contains the same * * object statements which are also * * unqualified with a SET CURRENT SQLID * * statement before it and no SET * * SCHEMA statement, with a different * * SQLID, the status of the first change * * is erroneously converted from * * 'ANALYZED' to 'DEFINED'. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS, when importing a change that includes unqualified object statements and the SET CURRENT SQLID statement, the object is erroneously registered using the CURRENT USER as the qualifier of the object, but should be the SQLID if SET CURRENT SQLID is specified.
Problem conclusion
Problem has been resolved. This APAR requires a new column LASTSQLID to be added to DB2 Administration Tool table ADBCHG. Instructions on how to update table ADBCHG (applicable for either DB2 Administration Tool Version 10, Release 2 or Version 11, Release 1 customers): 1. Invoke IBM Tools Customizer for z/OS via the DB2 Administration Tool and navigate to panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters'. 2. Scroll down to task 'Change Management database' and set the following parameter option to UPGRADE: Create/Upgrade database . . . . . . .UPGRADE (CREATE, UPGRADE) 3. Navigate back to the panel CCQPWRK 'Customizer Workplace' and regenerate the jobs via line command 'G - Generate'. 4. On panel CCQPCST 'Finish Product Customization' select job template ADBMCMA, and Submit. 5. Navigate back to panel CCQPCST 'Finish Product Customization' select job template ADBBIND, and Submit.
