PM97410: ABEND DC2 WITH REASON CODE 0047 AND NEW INSTALLATION PARAMETER PAGEMON

Error description

• This APAR addresses the following:
  
  1. ABEND DC2 can occur with variable-length records when the
     system has a severe memory shortage and PTF UK95679 is
     applied.
  
     You will see message CNK998E Indicating the following
       UNSUCCESSFUL SORT DC2 S REASON=69004720
  
  2. New installation parameter PAGEMON=ON/OFF is provided for
     sensitivity to paging activity.
  
     OFF is the default.
  
     Choose OFF if you use the defaults for DFSORT's DSPSIZE,
     HIPRMAX and MOSIZE installation options.
  
     Only choose ON if your system is highly sensitive to paging
     activity.
  
     Note: Elapsed time may increase if PAGEMON is set to ON
