PM96916: PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS DUE TO INCORRECT PARAMETERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Due to the use of the HSSR engine of HP Unload or IMS HD Unload
  utility when unloading a HALDB and when we want to unload the
  specific partitions in the HALDB we usually specify //DFSHALDB
  statement for for the HSSR engine of //SYSIN for the IMS HD
  unload utility. However, in this case, it looks like Toolkit
  does not generate these statements even though PARTLIST with
  ANALYZEPART is requested. Therefore, this issue could occur.
  We need to add the logic to generate the appropriate statements.

  Due to the use of the HSSR engine of HP Unload or IMS HD Unload
  utility when unloading a HALDB and when we want to unload the
  specific partitions in the HALDB, we usually specify //DFSHALDB
  statement for the HSSR engine of HP Unload or to specify //SYSIN
  for the IMS HD unload utility.
  However, in this case, HALDB Toolkit does not generate these
  statements even though PARTLIST is specified.
  Therefore, ANALYZEPART and MAINTAIN unload entire partitions
  in a HALDB unconditionally.
  

Problem conclusion

• IHCWUNL0 and IHCYVSMP have been changed to create //DFSHALDB
  statement or //SYSIN statement properly.
