PM95207: HIGH STORAGE USAGE IN SUBPOOL 129 KEY 7 DUE TO HIGH VOLUME OF SESSION CREATE / TERMINATE

Error description

• OMEGAMON DB2 V510 uses subpool 129 key 7 to build cell pools for
  XCF communication between LPARs. The storage is obtained by
  KO2ZTOPB, the job step TCB. After the XCF communication is
  performed by a daughter TCB, the cell pool is released. However
  the storage is not released due to the characteristics of
  subpool 129; the storage is owned by the job step TCB and must
  be freed by the job step TCB.
  
  This issue becomes very apparent in an environment that has a
  high volume of session create / session terminate activity.
  Session create / terminate activity is evidenced by this

  The result of this storage issue can also be seen in various
  storage related abends such as C78, 878, 80A
  
  Also present in the joblog are a high volume of messages

Local fix

• Monitor storage usage in sp129 key 7 that belongs to TCB
  KO2ZTOPB. Cycle the OMEGAMON DB2 collector task to release the
  storage as needed
