Error description

• 1. The IBM Tools Base Connection Server for z/OS Eclipse plug-in
  that provides the basic functionality of the environment does
    not have an option to update the connection profile before
    connection attempts are made. This could result in the
    Connection Server client trying to connect repeatedly using an
    expired password and causing the account to be locked out.
  2. The Connection Server client always saves passwords. There is
    no option to choose not to save passwords.

  This APAR is addressing the following issues:
  1.The IBM Tools Base Connection Server for z/OS Eclipse plug-in
  that provides the basic functionality of the environment does
  not have an option to update the connection profile before
  connection attempts are made. This could result in the
  Connection Server client trying to connect repeatedly using
  an expired password and causing the account to be locked out.
  2.The Connection Server client always saves passwords. There is
  no option to choose not to save passwords.
  3.The Connection Server client continues to attempt to connect
  to Connection Servers after authentication failures,
  potentially causing a user ID to be evoked due to excessive
  attempts to authenticate.
  4.Error messages relating to UserID and password are not
  granular enough.
  5.It is hard to tell at startup what version of the server is
  running and what version of the products it is loading.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made for the above issues;
  1.Introduced an option on the Connection Profiles Preferences
  pane in the Connection Server client to show the Connection
  Profiles Preferences pane at start up.
  2.Introduced an option on the Connection Profiles Preferences
  pane in the Connection Server client to remember passwords
  passwords for future sessions.
  3.When an authentication failure occurs, the Connection Server
  client now displays a new Review Connection Profile
  Credentials dialog to prompt for the entry of a new user ID
  and password.
  4.Improved UserID and password error messages.
  5.Extended message FUD2021I, issued at product startup, to
  include key maintenance level information
