APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the PHDAM randomizer defined in DBD is overridden by DBRC,
DB Sensor issues BBE3213E message and ends with RC=08.

This problem occurs if the randomizer defined in DBD is dummy
name, that is the module does not actually exist in the STEPLIB
    data set.

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
The PHDAM randomizing routine can be defined in DBD and RECON.
If the randomizing routine is defined both DBD and RECON,
the definition in RECON is effective and DBD is ignored.
That is, DB Sensor should not use the randomizing routine name
in DBD. But, DB Sensor searches the randomizing routine in
the STEPLIB data seta with using the DBD definition.
As the result, if the randomizing routine is not in the STEPLIB,
DB Sensor issues message BBE3213E BLDL FAILED for the
    randomizing routine.
This problem could occur in stand-alone DB Sensor and
the integrated DB Sensor which runs in HP Image Copy,
HP Pointer Checker, and DB Reorganization Expert.
