Error description
The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS built an APPLY job which had a hard coded SPACE for the UTLMAP TEMPLATE in LOAD. As the SPACE did not follow the DB2 sizing guidelines the job ended with an ABENDx37 when records were discarded.
Local fix
Manually code the UTLMAP TEMPLATE and do not specify a SPACE keyword.

As the SPACE did not follow the DB2 sizing guidelines, the job ended with an ABENDx37 / abend037 when were discarded: DSNUGBAC - UTILITY BATCH MEMORY EXECUTION ABENDED, REASON=X'0B37'. The same problem exists for UTLDISC and UTLERR templates.
Problem conclusion
Problem has been resolved. The SPACE keyword has been removed from the TEMPLATE statements of UTLMAP, UTLERR and UTLDISC for the LOAD utility generated in the APPLY job to allow DB2 to calculate the default size for each data set. In some cases, while processing a TEMPLATE control statement which does not include a SPACE keyword, DB2 could not calculate the default data set size. For example, when the input data set to the LOAD utility resides on tape. In this case, a user-defined template should be used for other data sets with the SPACE keyword specified.
