  • DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not check for the
    omission of the trailing period in TEMPLATE DSN variable name,
    that may result in message DSNU1032I (msgDSNU1032I) from
    DB2 for z/OS

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a user runs a stand-alone utility  *
    *                      using a template and the last variable  *
    *                      in the template definition ends without *
    *                      a period(.), the job ends with RC=8 /   *
    *                      return code 8 and displays an invalid   *
    *                      qualifier message.                      *
    *                                                              *
    *                      For example,                            *
    *                      Customer specify the following template *
    *                      and the last variable &MINUTE ends      *
    *                      without a period:                       *
    *                                                              *
    *                      &SSID..&DB..&SN..ICF.D&DATE..T&HOUR.    *
    *                      &MINUTE                                 *
    *                                                              *
    *                      The job ends with RC=8 and the          *
    *                      following error message:                *
    *                                                              *
    *                      INVALID QUALIFIER &MINUTE IN TEMPLATE   *
    *                      >template_name<                         *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    When a user runs a stand-alone utility using a template and
    the last variable in the template definition ends without a
    period(.), the job ends with RC=8 / return code 8 and displays
    an invalid qualifier message.
