Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' panel ADB2DIPD 'DROP
    Impact Analysis Details' does not take an action when the
    DROP Command is selected by placing the cursor over the text
    and the enter key is pressed.
    

Local fix

  • Issue the DROP command via the Command line.

    The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not take an action
    when the DROP primary command is selected by placing the cursor
    over the text and the ENTER key is pressed on panel ADB2DIPD
    'DROP Impact Analysis Details'.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been resolved.  The help panel ADBHDIPD 'HELP: DB2
    Drop Impact Analysis Details' and the DB2 Administration Tool
    for z/OS User's Guide and Reference, Version 10, Release 1
    (SC19-3033-05) and Version 10, Release 2 (SC19-3774-03) in:
    
    Chapter 8:  'Building and running SQL statements'
       - Issuing CREATE, DROP, LABEL ON, and COMMENT
         ON statements
          - Dropping a table
              - Using Drop Impact Reports'
    
    to indicate DROP needs to be manually issued by typing it
    on the primary command line, and also changed the color of
    the DROP primary command on panel ADB2DIPD by using the
    attribute of normal text.
