    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HALDB Reorganization can fail in Apply *
    *                      phase                                   *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Reorganization of HALDB can fail in the Apply phase with the
    following messages:
       HRF01042E Subtask APLY 0001 has terminated abnormally
       HRF01043E  Abend code is U0016
    This problem can occur when a HALDB meets one of the following
    criteria:
      - It has any segments with non-unique key
      - It has any non-root segments with indexes defined on it
    When one of the above criteria is met, an RBA mapping table is
    generated during the Reorganization phase, and the table is used
    for applying the change records in the Apply phase.
    An error was found in the logic that generates RBA mapping
    table, which was causing the apply error in the Apply phase.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR fixes the error in the logic that generates the RBA
    mapping table.
