Error description

  • The below FileNotFoundException is thrown for /favicon.ico
    request sent by the browser.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using Mozilla Firefox and Form     *
    *                      login, it is noted that after           *
    *                      writting the credentials and trying     *
    *                      to login to the application, a          *
    *                      FileNotFound /favicon.ico error         *
    *                      message is shown on the browser.        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    When using Mozilla Firefox and Form
    login, after writting the credentials and trying
    to login to the application, a
    FileNotFound /favicon.ico error
    message is shown on the browser.
    On the Web.xml the resources are set to private.
    The browser is sending the request for favicon.ico and it is
    being updated by WASReqURL.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been updated in order to prevent the
    WASReqURL cookie from updating the request for
    favicon.ico.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.7 and the fixpack that follows 8.5.0.2.  Please
    refer to the Recommended Updatespage for delivery information:
