Error description

  • After command STOP REGION ABDUMP on a Fast Path utility region,
a hang occurs out of DBFIRC10 after label PRECALLIRC1.

When /STO REG ABDUMP is issued, ESTAE at FPXD0000 gets control.
The ESTAE issues a DL/I call to disconnect the area that
was being processed, which caused the wait in DBFIRC10. Due
to the wait in DBFIRC10, the maintask of ODE stopped, and the
subtask of ODE kept on waiting because there is no buffer set
    queued from the maintask. CMDSTO

This is a forward fit of Fast Path Solution Pack V110 APAR
    PM77268.

Forward Fit APAR of FPSP V1R1 PM77268.
The ESTAE at module FPXD0000 of ODE gets control after /STOP
REGION ABDUMP, it issues a DL/I call to disconnect the area
that was being processed, which caused the wait in DBFIRC10,
then the maintask of ODE stopped, and the subtask of ODE kept on
waiting because there is no buffer set queued from the maintask.

Problem conclusion

  • ODE has been modified not to issue a DL/I call to disconnect
the area in ESTAE at module FPXD0000. Because IMS always do the
    disconnection for any abends.
