Error description

• DB2 OBJECT COMPARISON TOOL FOR Z/OS.
  When doing a compare of a table, the compare step does not list
  the changes, the analyze run after that does list the change.
  ( This behaviour occurs only when using the CMDELTA option ).
  

Local fix

Problem summary

•   USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration and DB2
                    Object Comparison Tool for z/OS who use
                    the Compare function to compare two tables
                    that have a hidden ROWID column as the
                    last column of the tables.
  
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When new columns only exist as the
                         last column of the source table during
                         a compare of tables on source and
                         target, the compare step does not
                         list the changes, however, the Analyze
                         job following the compare step does
                         list the change.
  
                         This behavior occurs only when 'CHANGE'
                         is specified for the 'Generate apply
                         job' option on panel GOC5 'Generate
                         Compare Job'.
  
    RECOMMENDATION:
  
  When columns that only exist as the last column of the source
  table, the compare program should choose ALTER TABLE...ADD
  COLUMN to implement this change if 'CHANGE' is specified for
  'Generate apply jobs' option on panel GOC5 'Generate Compare
  Job'.
