    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The following problems are occurring: *
    *                                                              *
    * - An erroneous period is being added *
    * to the dataset name via templates *
    *                      after the GDG indicator (e.g.           *
    *                      >dataset_name<(+1).).                   *
    *                                                              *
    *                      - For a parallel UNLOAD (Unload         *
    * type of 'P'), when templates are *
    *                      missing, only &PA/&PART is added        *
    * and this will result in an invalid *
    * qualifier. This has been changed *
    * to add P&PA which is correct. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    We automatically add certain nodes to a data set template. We
    were adding just &PA which resolves as a five-digit number
    which is invalid as a node of a data set name. For example,
    &US..&SSID.. for parallel unload was adding &PA which would
    effectively make the template &US..&SSID..&PA. You cannot have
    data set node as pure numbers. They have to begin with a
    letter, so now it adds P&PA which would resolve as P00001
    instead of 00001. If you use an invalid qualifier such as this,
    the unload will end with the following error:

    DSNUGTDS - INVALID QUALIFIER nnnnn IN TEMPLATE xxxxxxxxxx
    DSNUGBAC - UTILITY EXECUTION TERMINATED, HIGHEST RETURN CODE=8

  • Problem has been resolved.
