Error description

  • If the CAE's view of the IP Configuration for a system changes,
then the CAE can fail to collect alerts from that system.
    .
The two main ways the "CAE's view of the IP configuration for a
    system" can change are:

    1. That the system can have IP Addresses added or removed from
       its IP configuration.
    2. The CAE Server could have been run on that system at some
point, then moved to run on another system.

Local fix

  • 1. Stop the CAE Server
    2. Move the existing bbdb folder to one side (for example,
       rename it to bbdb-old)
    3. Move the Query+Monitor directory from knowledge/domains to
       some other directory
    4. Restart the CAE Server
