Error description

  • ORF fails for an empty HALDB partition when the IMS Utilities
are used. An RC04 is received and ORF considers this a failure.
When the IMS HP Tools are used, the run is good.

ORF fails to reorganize an empty HALDB partition when it is
running with the HD Unload utility, because the HD Unload ends
with return code 4 in this case.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A new parameter is added to the runtime option to accept return
code 4 from HD Unload.

|   parameter is ignored when you are running IMS High
|   Performance Unload. The valid values are 0 and 4. Specify 4
|   only if you can accept the return code 4 from HD Unload and
|   want to have the reorganization processing continued.
