Error description

  • DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS users who use the BROWSE
command can experience abend0c6 in ISPF module ISPTASK and
other abend0c4 conditions only in cases where the ISPF routine's
load address begins with x'40'. ISPF BRIF call is used to
initiate an ISPF BROWSE session.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND0C6-06 in ISPTASK Entry point   *
*                      address 07E575F0 and other ABEND0C4     *
*                      conditions may occur, but only in       *
*                      cases where the ISPF routine's load     *
*                      address begins with X'40'.  An ISPF     *
*                      BRIF call is used to initiate an        *
*                      ISPF BROWSE session.                    *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

The ISPF BRIF service can in some environments be invoked with
an address that starts with X'40' which the ISPF BRIF
interprets as a missing parameter.
