Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users who uses HPFPU Hash Check support * * for IMS Database Recovery Facility * * in Fast Path Solution Pack Version 1 * * Release 2 (FMID: HAHQ120). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Forward Fit APAR of FPSP V1R1 FPB * * PM54954. * * 1. FABA4035E and FABA4031E messages * * are shown incorrectly when a CI is * * full with SDEP segments. * * 2. FABA4031E messages are shown * * incorrectly when the valid SDEP * * segments exist after a SDEP control * * segment(PREFIX:X'02C0') in a CI. * * 3. DRF HASH Check cannot detect the * * incorrect block id in CI (DBLKBTID). * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** Forward Fit APAR of FPSP V1R1 FPB PM54954. 1. The MAX usable CI offset, which is internally used in DRF HASH check, is shorter 2 bytes than the correct value. The FSE of the CI that points to the correct MAX usable CI offset is beyond the HASH check MAX usable CI offset, so that the error messages are shown. 2. DRF HASH check bypasses SDEP segments remaining in the CI when it finds a SDEP control segment(PREFIX:X'02C0'). 3. DRF HASH Check cannot detect the incorrect block id in CI (DBLKBTID).
Problem conclusion
1. DRF HASH Check has been modified to detect MAX usable CI offset is corrected. 2. DRF HASH Check has been modified to skip only the SDEP control segment when it finds one. 3. DRF HASH Check have been modified to detect correctly the incorrect block id in CI (DBLKBTID). In addition, the comment lines in FABAHEXT have been modified.
