APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • This APAR addresses a race condition that can occur when
multiple CQM or ASC (Audit SQL Collector) address spaces
are started within seconds of each other, causing incorrect
storage to be freed or reused and possible ABEND0C4-11
or ABENDSB78-18 in CQM/ASC to also occur.

NOTE: The DB2 Query Monitor Collector started task shares
code with the DB2 Audit Management Expert Collector and the
InfoSphere Guardium S-TAP Collector started tasks. Customers
running the Collector with either (or both) DB2 Query Monitor
and DB2 Audit Management Expert or InfoSphere Guardium S-TAP
    may experience this problem.

Local fix

  • Stop the CQM/ASC collectors and the master address space,
then start the CQM/ASC collectors one at a time (note:
please do not start the second collector until the first
    one has fully initialized).
