Error description
The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not add the LIB= syntax to the DB2 DSNUPROC PROC.
Local fix
Add the LIB= syntax manually.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for * * z/OS who execute utilities after connecting * * to a remote subsystem. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS * * does not list DB2 load library for * * the DSNUPROC LIB= statement when * * connecting to a remote LPAR * * subsystem and then execute utilities. * * DB2 Admin Tool locally issues * * SYSDSN(aaa(DSNUTILB)) to find * * the load library for remote DB2 which * * does not find a data set from the * * customization table. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not list DB2 load library for the DSNUPROC LIB= statement wen connecting to a remote LPAR subsystem and then execute utilities.
Problem conclusion
EXECs have been modified to resolve this problem. After this APAR is applied, if executing the RUNSTATS utility on remote DB2 after connecting to a remote subsystem, the DB2 Admin Tool will read the DB2 LOAD data sets specified in tag :bl2llib. for remote DB2 in the customization table, and then invoke the TSO function to locally locate which data set contains the DSNUTILB LOAD module and use this data set as the LIB= parameter for DB2 DSNUPROC in the utility JCL. However, in the following cases, the DB2 Admin Tool will use the second data set specified in :bl2llib. as the LIB= parameter or the first if there is only one: None of the data sets specified in tag :bl2llib for remote DB2 in the customization table contains the DSNUTILB LOAD module. OR Remote DB2 is on another LPAR system and specified data sets in tag :bl2llib. in the customization table just exist on the remote system. In this case, the DB2 Admin Tool can not locate the data set locally for the remote site.
