PM45349: MISSING HELP ON DB2 ATTRIBUTE IN THE TEP SITUATION EDITOR. No User assistance was found

APAR status

Error description

  • Missing help on IBM Tivoli Monitor Enterprise Portal ( TEP )
    DB2 attribute in the situation editor. I could recreate the
    problem.
    
    In the situation editor, if the user clicks on an existing
    situation they
    will get the Formula editor tab. Under the formula will be
    instructions on how to use the formula editor. This is in the
    same frame
    where the "No user assistance" message is seen.
    
    
    If the user then clicks on an attribute column header or in the
    value
    columns then the 'No user assistance' message is seen when
    they should be seeing a description of the aattribute.
    
    Clients may also experience back leveled help screens. If the
    V410 TEP application support was installed and the TEP was
    upgraded in place, the V410 help files were not deleted and will
    be used by the TEP at its current level.
    

Local fix

  • Workaround:  move the cursor(do not click) on the attribute to
    get flyover help
    
    Unzip IBM\ITM\HELPSVR\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.kdp.doc\doc.zip to
    a directory outside the directory structure of the installed
    TEP. You can then use a browser to review the different .HTM
    files for each situation
