PM43905: ORF ISSUES MESSAGE TOO MUCH TRAFFIC FOR XCF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The online IMS system ships the ORF change
  records via XCF.  At times there was a XCF buffer
  shortage, resulting in an error situation.

  After removing the local lock in the XCF incoming message exit,
  the buffer overrun situation still comes up.
  

Problem conclusion

• A retry possibility is now provided via a new parameter
  in HRFSETOP: XCFRETRY=nn, where nn is from 0 to 99.
  It specifies a retry count after the XCF return code 12 and
  reason code 4 has been detected. There is a 1 msec. wait time
  between the retry.  The default is 0, which actually
  disables any retry.
