* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Compute Grid v8 dispatches    *
*                      jobs in a round robin fashion without   *
*                      considering current workload on         *
*                      the endpoints.                          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

To dispatch jobs based on workload or to start new dynamic
cluster instances to handle new load, Compute Grid needs to
work with WebSphere Virtual Enterprise's Application Placement
Controller for job placement.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This APAR allows Grid Application Placement controller to work
with WebSphere Virtual Enterprise's Application Placement
Controller to select endpoints and dispatch jobs for a smarter
job distribution.

This APAR is included in WebSphere Extended Deployment Compute
Grid v8.0.0 fix pack 1.
