    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The console and sysout can be flooded *
    * with message CEX5019I when the local *
    * adapter is being used. *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR will address the following issues:
    1. The console and sysout can be flooded with message CEX5019I
when the local adapter is being used.
    2. The OTMA trace record x'A3' for message exit called has
incorrect application data when the application data has
an LLLL format such as used with sync callout.
The application data may show only the LL portion of the
LLLL field in the application data and the last two bytes
       of application data are incorrect.
    3. Field CERE_62_CX1_RSN can contain a value of x'00000001'
       when CERE_62_CX1_RC contains a value of x'00000000'.
       The RSN value is incorrect.
    4. The OTMA security section in the x'A3' event record is
always x'68' bytes long even if the OTMA Security header
section is shorter than x'6A'. This causes the security
section in the event record to contain data collected
from the OTMA User section as if it was the UTOKN field
       of the security data.
    5. The RXML trace record x'A9' may be 2 bytes shorter than it
should be. This can cause overlay of the STCK time field.
    6. The CERE_A9_CONT flag does not contain the CERE_A9_CO_RXML
flag when the RXML trace event is created.
    7. ISPF dialog Operations main panel shows all ICONs as INACT
if TSO user's OMVS segment not defined correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1. Correct the situation where a WAS local Client disconnect
is followed by a local client connect causes the ICON
joblog to be flooded with message CEX2019I.
    2. Corrected module CEXTECL to correctly format the
application data section for trace records that use the
       LLLL format indicated by CERE_A3_CODE = x'06'.
    3. Corrected module CEXEXRTR to not incorrectly set the
message exit parmlist RSN code field with a value
       of x'00000001'
    4. Changed CEXTECL to honor the length of the current
OTMA security section when building the event x'A3'
security section and include only the sections that
       are present
    5. Corrected CEXTECL to record the correct length for the
       RXML trace event record.
    6. Corrected CEXTECL to set the CERE_A9_CO_RXML flag
       properly.
    7. Changed ISPF dialog to not allow user to navigate to
Operations panel if OMVS segment is not defined
       correctly for user.
    User Action:
    1. SMP/E Receive and Apply the fix.
    2. Restart your IMS Connect Extensions system.
