PM40940: DURING SHUTDOWN OF IMS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ORF utilizes the logger exit to implement its functions.
  When IMS terminates, the logger exit is called.
  At this time ORF does its cleanup, including the termination
  of its TCBs. There is currently no indication if the logger
  exit was called. In that case, ABENDA03 is to be expected.
  ORF needs an indication that the logger exit is being called
  during termination.

  Abend A03 during shutdown of IMS. Explanation: ORF utilizes the
  logger exit to implement its functions.  When IMS terminates,
  the logger exit is called.  At this time ORF does its cleanup,
  including the termination of its TCBs. There is currently no
  indication if the logger exit was called. In that case the
  abend A03 is to be expected.
  

Problem conclusion

• Diagnostics have been increased to verify that the logger
  exit was called.
  MSGHRF010000I Logger exit terminating will now be issued out of
  the ORF logger exit to verify that it is being called by IMS.
