Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 * * * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CWSJN1001E messages fill the logs * * after deleting a WS-Notification * * service. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a WS-Notification Service is deleted, configuration and runtime state must be removed from both the servant and adjunct regions. The administered subscription configuration is held in the messaging engine. When the service is deleted, configuration reload at the messaging engine attempts to effect the unsubscribe of any administered subscribers, but in order to do this it must invoke a service in the servant region. By the time the service in the servant region is invoked, configuration information needed to perform the unsubscribe has already been deleted and so the unsubscribe fails.
Problem conclusion
This APAR stops the attempt to unsubscribe administered subscribers when a WS-Notficaition Service is deleted (z/OS only). Therefore, it is advisable to unsubscribe/delete the administered subscribers before deleting the WS-Notification Service itself. APAR PM37086 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.19 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0. Please refer to URL: //www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=404&uid=swg27006970 for Fix Pack availability.
