PM35754: ORF POINTER ERRORS DURING COPY PHASE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This APAR will address the following problems:
  - Pointer error detected during COPY phase.
    Explanation:  DBD has fixed segment length and a compression
    exit specified with PAD specified.  This was not recognized
    by the deblocker routine.
  - ORF and HALDB Toolkit:  Did not execute ACBGEN.
    ONLINECHANGE for TOOLKIT was forced off, suppressing the
    ACBGEN.

  This APAR is correcting the following issues:
  1. ORF and HALDB Toolkit:  Did not execute ACBGEN.
  ONLINECHANGE for TOOLKIT was forced off,
  suppressing also the ACBGEN.
  2. Pointer error detected during COPY phase.
  DBD has fixed segment lenght and a compression
  exit specified with PAD specified.  This was not
  recognized by the deblocker routine.
  

Problem conclusion

• The following changes have been made for the above issues:
  1. Forcing ONLINECHANGE(N) was removed.
  The TAKEOVER process now stops after ACBGEN.
  HOLDDATA:  Apply the corresponding TOOLKIT PTF
  2. The deblocker was changed to recognize PAD
