    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
The following errors occur when RGE is invoked with
    CONDREORG=YES.

    1. DB Sensor stores incorrect data("DB_PCT_BYTES_OVFL") in the
ITKB sensory repository when the processing database is
    HDAM or PHDAM.
The correct value of "DB_PCT_BYTES_OVFL" should be the
percentage of the total bytes of segment occurrences that are
    found in an overflow area.

By this APAR, DB Sensor is fixed to store the correct value of
     "DB_PCT_BYTES_OVFL".

    2. DB Sensor issues BBE3207E OBTAIN FAILED after IOS000I
    message appeared.
This problem occurs when the DSCB area in VTOC which is pointing
the VTOC Index is in the second or higher cylinder in the DASD.
This condition can happen the VTOC index was built after
many data sets were created on the DASD.
In this case, DB Sensor cannot search correctly the DSCB of
    VTOC Index.

This APAR fixes DB Sensor to search the correct DSCB.

Problem conclusion

  • The following modules have been modified to calculate
"DB_PCT_BYTES_OVFL" correctly and search the correct DSCB.
