When DB2 added support allowing more implicit casting of one
data type to another (such as saving an integer value into a
column defined as decimal), QMF was similarly changed to
allow such unmatched columns to be updated. The change in QMF
did not include allowing updates for columns with unmatched
    NULL definitions.
Additionally, QMF was not properly handling XML columns during
    SAVE DATA and IMPORT processing.

Problem conclusion

  • Code in QMF SAVE DATA and IMPORT processing was changed to
allow columns with NULL definitions to be updated with data
    with different NULL definitions.

Code was also added to process XML columns properly.
