Error description

  • RENAME gives a misleading error message when user catalogs have
not been backed up and the volume copies completed ok.
The COPY used USERCATALOGS-NOBACKUP so it did not backup the
user catalogs and it completed with a return code of zero.
RENAME was run following the COPY and it gave an error of:
CKZ10015E THE COPY PROCESS DID NOT COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY
The real problem was that the user catalogs had not been backed
up so this message is misleading as it indicates the COPY failed
    which it did not.

RENAME will be changed so for this case it will put out a
message that says the catalogs have not been backed up.
