When attempting to open a remote cube in PowerPlay Client, the cube package must be placed into a folder that the user has read access to.?If this condition is not met the PowerPlay Client user wlil be presented with the error message: PDS-RM-0001 A timeout occurred while waiting for a response.??This permission requirement is unique to PowerPlay 8 and does not represent requirements of the core Cognos BI components such as Analysis Studio or Report Studio.
Local fix
Alter permissions on the parent folder to ensure users have Read access.
