Local fix
Rename any asterisk items in the include files or PLI source files to anything else such as x1, x2, etc.
Problem summary
CICS Bottom-up Web Services PL/I scenario incorrectly handles filler ('*') data declarations.
Problem conclusion
In PL/I, a field with * is essentially a FILLER since it could never be explicitly referred to. Given that, we do not support FILLER items. The fix was put in so that the UI will guard selection of PL/I fields named *. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.1 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
