Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS ADB27AC component used by
    the DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS issues the message:
    ADBC033W Conversion of Character to Date may fail for col
    <colname>
    and:
    ADBC203E Data conversion errors found
    ADBC204E Check LOAD Conversion statistics report
    ADB27AC - Ended with errors
    when panel GOC5 "Generate Compare Jobs" option "Stop on
    conversion error" is set to YES even though the conversion is
    listed as valid in Table 29. DB2 Admin data type conversions,
    part 1, in Chapter 27. DB2 Admin data type conversions of the
    DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' User's Guide and Reference.
    

Local fix

  • Specify "Stop on conversion error" NO on panel GOC5 "Generate
    Compare Jobs".

    ADB27AC reported a conversion error for valid character to DATE,
    TIME or TIMESTAMP conversions.
    

Problem conclusion

  • ADB27AC has been modified to fix the problem. The supported
    DATE, TIME and TIMESTAMP formats can be found in the DB2
    Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide and Reference, 'DB2
    Admin data type conversions' chapter.
