Error description

  • A REORG job is looping in HAA#PRSE while updating the RTS.
From SYSTRACE an apparent loop looks like:
     009FF050 PC ... 8 00_000136E5 0030B
     009FF050 EXT 1005 070C1000 815A1DB8 00001005
     009FF050 EXT 1005 070C0000 815A1F74 00001005
     009FF050 EXT 1005 070C1000 815A1F80 00001005
     009FF050 EXT 1005 070C1000 815A1DBC 00001005
     009FF050 DSP 070C1000 815A1DC2 00800000 009FE668
many entries like above then ...
     009FF050 PR ... 0 00_000136E5 015AB552
     009FF050 PC ... 8 00_000136E5 0030B
     009FF050 EXT 1005 070C2000 815A1DC2 00001005
The PC 0030B (Storage Obtain) occurs throughout the SYSTRACE
with the entry to HAA#PRSE (08/01/08 09.27 V31BETA) being at
00012258. The PC 0030B at HAA#PRSE+1488 seems to drive a LOOP.

Loop may occur in HAA#BTMP when capturing REORG run times.
This can occur when the 'Capture Run Times for Load Balancing'
    option is used.

Local fix

  • Set 'Capture Run Times for Load Balancing' to 'N'
