PM16814: PREFIX RESOLUTION STEP MISSING WHEN THE LOGICAL RELATIONSHIP IS INTERNAL

Error description

• During reload, the prefix resolution step is missing when there
  are internal logical relationships, that is the relationship
  is within a single database.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Reported by customer:                   *
  *                      The Prefix Update step in some DBCS     *
  *                      generated REORG jobs was missing a      *
  *                      DFSURWF1 DD statement.                  *
  *                      Found during testing:                   *
  *                      IMS V11 was not detected correctly by   *
  *                      the DBCS to IMS interface. No DBCS      *
  *                      functions for IMS V11 could be          *
  *                      performed.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  One of the flags indicating that Prefix Update JCL needed a
  DFSURWF1 statement was not checked. Consequently, the generated
  step did not contain a DFSURWF1 DD statement. The logic that
  decodes the IMS V11 release from the RECON did not recognize the
  one byte longer value for IMS V11.
  

Problem conclusion

• The DFSURWF1 DD statement inclusion logic was corrected where
  necessary in the Prefix Update JCL generation logic. The longer
  IMS V11 release ID was recognized and saved for later use.
