Error description

  • CANSO2 task hung after normal shut down was initiated, the
    Omegamon address space did not terminate cleanly. Following
    this, a Omegamon restart received an ABEND052-517
    (R15 = 00000517).  The ABEND052 occurred because the incomplete
    shutdown left the LX (Linkage Index) unusable (SLX=REUSE was
    defaulted to in the COMMCOLL parms). As part of cleanup for
    the ABEND052, KO2ARECB received control and issued a WTO for
         OMEGAMON II FOR DB2 DUMP: TASK=COMMCOLL,ID=V420,
         MOD=KO2ZTOPB,OFFSET=007A02,CODE=S052/00000517 .
    KO2ARECB then tried to call KO2SDMPB using the $EVT, but the
    $EVT (entry point list for CSECTs) isn't available to KO2ARECB.
    Instead of loading the address of KO2SDMPB into R15 and doing a
    BASSM (0CEF) to KO2SDMPB, garbage was loaded into R15. The
    BASSM led to the ABEND0C4 with a PSW of 070C2000 00404040, in
    this case R15 = 40404040. The BASSM was done at KO2ARECB+2C0
    and KO2ARECB was a base level with a date eyecatcher 05/06/09.

Local fix

  • use SLX=ACQUIRE in the COMMCOLL parms.
