APAR status

Error description

  • DB2 Cloning Tool DB2STOP can end before DB2 subsystem
termination has completed.

Currently DB2STOP considers the DB2 subsystem to be down when
all its address spaces have terminated.

The DB2 subsystem may not be completely terminated when the
address spaces have ended.

DB2STOP will now also wait for the subsystem termination to
complete.

Local fix

  • Put in a wait of about one minute after DB2STOP ends to allow
time for the DB2 subsystem termination to complete.
