Also the output of VT, the content of View LOG has the same re striction. So for example, ? @, [, ], !, {, } ? can't be displayed. As reported in my initial mail, the major problem with codepages CLIENT_CODEPAGE IBM-1252 SERVER_CODEPAGE IBM-273 in the TSOC is the insufficient version tree display in the TSOC here is an example of all what you get no matter what element yo u select: IBM Rational ClearCase z/OS Extensions - TSO Client Version Tree ________________________________________________________________ ____________ Option ===? Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The major problem with codepages CLIENT_CODEPAGE IBM-1252 SERVER_CODEPAGE IBM-273 in the TSOC is the insufficient version tree display in the TSOC panel. That is because CCz has some hardcoded literals as IBM-1047(English) encoding, but German code page is either IBM-273 or IBM-1141. These encoding difference causes some trobules about the string parsing code.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available in ClearCase version 7.1.2
