Error description

  • The Utility ID that is allowed currently by DB2 can be upto 16
characters. This causes its truncation in the Automation Tool
V3.1 generated JCL when the ' Prefix Utility ID with jobname'
is set to 'B' in the job generations panel and when the jobname
and step name are 8 characters each.

    The current format is JOBSNAME.STEPNAME.

This APAR will change the Utility ID that is generated to
JOBSNAMESTEPNAME by removing the period (.) between the two when
both jobname and stepname are 8 characters each.
