• DSQ14107 FM error - failed to insert record into update
  checkpoint index during print BLOB on DB2 V8 CM.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V8.1 and V9.1 users     *
  *                 generating reports containing LOB data.      *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users running queries that return LOB   *
  *                      data of any kind can receive            *
  *                      MSGDSQ14107 DSQ14107 'FM error - failed *
  *                      to insert record into update            *
  *                      checkpoint index'. This error would     *
  *                      occur after fetching 65,537 rows of     *
  *                      data.                                   *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The QMF LOB manager was designed with a row counter variable
  that was defined to hold numbers up to 65,536. When QMF was
  fetching more than that number of rows containing LOB data, the
  above-mentioned error would occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• The QMF LOB manager code was enhanced to be able to retrieve up
  to 2G of rows containing LOB data.
