Error description

• This APAR fixes some known problems of Conditional
  Reorganization Support Service (CRSS) after creating GA tape.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. When SPACEALLOC=YES and HPSGAMSA DD  *
  *                      statement are specified, shadow data    *
  *                      sets are allocated even if              *
  *                      reorganization is not processed.        *
  *                                                              *
  *                      2. When CONDREORG=YES, the Smart Reorg  *
  *                      processing continues without CRSS even  *
  *                      if control statement error is detected. *
  *                                                              *
  *                      3. ABENDS0C4 occurred in HPSGTU10 at    *
  *                      offset X'54A'. This is a forward fit of *
  *                      APAR PM03759.                           *
  *                                                              *
  *                      4. Incorrect report completion code is  *
  *                      set for Diagnosis Report when BSN2903I  *
  *                      is issued.                              *
  *                                                              *
  *                      5. When CONDREORG=YES, storage size     *
  *                      above 16M is increased significantly    *
  *                      compare to CONDREORG=NO. Used storage   *
  *                      increases excessively.                  *
  *                                                              *
  *                      6. When CONDREORG=YES, DB Sensor issues *
  *                      MSGBBE3210E incorrectly.                *
  *                                                              *
  *                      7. Diagnostic Aid for IMS DB            *
  *                      Reorganization Expert is provided.      *
  *                                                              *
  *                      8. When registering IMS DB Reorg Expert *
  *                      using HKTAPRA0, MSGHKT2174E is issued.  *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
  ****************************************************************
  1. When SPACEALLOC=YES or SPACEALLOC=YES,FORCE is specified in
  HPSIN data set, and HPSGAMSA DD statement is specified in JCL,
  shadow data sets are allocated even if
    - CONDREORG=YES is specified and the reorganization is not
      processed as the result of database diagnosis.
    - CONDREORG=YES,DIAGONLY.
  In the above cases, shadow data sets should not be allocated.
  
  2. When CONDREORG=YES is specified in HPSIN data set, the
  Smart Reorg Driver issues HPSG2313W and the processing
  continues without CRSS even if
    - ITKBSRVR=servername is not specified.
    - REORGINPUT=ULDS is specified.
    - NEWDBD=ddname is specified.
    - Two or more partitions are specified.
  In the above cases, the Smart Reorg Driver should end with
  error.
  
  3. Forward fit of APAR PM03759.
  When the Smart Reorg Driver is running in REORGINPUT=ULDS, the
  Smart Reorg Driver calls DFSRRC00 from HPSGTU10, whose
  addressing mode is 31.
  DFSRRC00 may change the addressing mode from 31 to 24. Then the
  caller of DFSRRC00 will cause the 0C4 abend when referring the
  storage area above 16 megabytes.
  
  4. When BSN2903I is issued for exception summary message and
  Diagnosis Report is stored into ITKB report repository, the
  report completion code of 8 is set for the report.
  
  5. DB Sensor issues GETMAIN storage for internal control block
  to manage DASD volume data. It always gets the storage for the
  maximum number of volumes, regardless the actual number of
  volumes.
  
  6. DB Sensor issues UCBINFO macro to get DASD volume
  information. When the database resides DASD volumes which device
  number start with alphabet character (A to F), DB Sensor does
  not set the device number in the UCBINFO parameter correctly.
  Then, DB Sensor gets error return code from UCBINFO macro, and
  issues MSGBBE3210E UCBINFO FAILED.
  
  7. Diagnostic Aid for IMS DB Reorganization Expert is provided.
  
  8. IMS Tools KB product and report information table is
  link-edited with incorrect entry name. This causes MSGHKT2174E
  when registering IMS DB Reorg Expert with IMS Tools KB using
  HPSCITKB JCL in SHPSJCL0 data set.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. Smart Reorg Driver has been modified not to allocate the
  shadow data sets when the reorganization is not processed.
  
  2. Smart Reorg Driver has been modified to end the processing
  with HPSG2320E and RC=8 when control statement error is detected
  with CONDREORG=YES.
  
  3. Smart Reorg Driver has been modified to switch the addressing
  mode to 24 before calling DFSRRC00, and switch the addressing
  mode to 31 after calling DFSRRC00.
  
  4. DB Analyzer has been modified to set correct completion code
  of 16 for the Diagnosis Report when BSN2903I is issued.
  
  5. DB Sensor has been modified to get smaller size of the
  storage according to the actual number of volumes.
  
  6. DB Sensor has been modified to set the correct device number
  in the UCBINFO parameter.
  
  7. Diagnostic Aid for IMS DB Reorganization Expert is provided.
  
  8. IMS Tools KB product and report information table has been
  modified to be link-edited with correct entry name.
