Error description
When more than two WebSphere stack products (including the WebSphere Application Server for z/OS itself) choose to register with z/OS using the IFAUSAGE service, only the first two registrations from the servant region are accepted. The registration(s) for the other product(s) will be rejected with message BBOO0333E.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Application Server * * V7.0 for z/OS * * * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application Server for z/OS * * returns error message BBOO0333E when * * the servant region is starting if more * * than two stack products attempt to * * register with z/OS using the IFAUSAGE * * interface. * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When WebSphere Application Server for z/OS and select stack products register with z/OS, they can choose to use the IFAUSAGE service to do so. This registration occurs in both the controller and servant regions. However, for programs running in problem state (in this case the servant region), IFAUSAGE allows only two registration requests for each domain. After two registrations are performed, all subsequent calls to IFAUSAGE from the problem state program will result in error message BBOO0333E and the registration is not accepted.
Problem conclusion
The code was updated to PC to an authorized routine that will call the IFAUSAGE service. Programs running in supervisor state are not limited in the number registration calls they can make using IFAUSAGE. APAR PK02881 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.8 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
