PM02620: HPU IS RUNNING SLOWER THAN DSNUTILB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The customer is unloading a table with an LOB column using HPU.
  The job ran slow about 88 minutes. He then ran the unload using
  DSNUTUILB and this job ran in 8 minutes.

  *                      and consumes more CPU than the DSNUTILB *
  *                      standard UNLOAD utility.                *

  * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY the PTF.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  Modules UDBLOBR and UDBSPRRD were changed to keep in memory the
  already accessed pages of the auxilary index, and reduce the
  number of I/Os made on the LOB tablespace. This fix has no
  impact on LOB Table spaces with 4Kb pages.
