Error description
In top-down, jax-ws scenarios, RAD creates the *Impl class. This * impl class is always generated as UTF-8 text encoding regardless of project/RAD settings. Some DBCS comment is automatically inserted in *imple classes when being generated, but the almost 100% of the Japanese RAD environment is running on file encoding MS932 or Shift-JIS. Then when opening the *impl class in RAD, the comment is garbled.
Local fix
Problem summary
UTF-8 is always used in generating JAX-WS delegates, implementations and proxies. Users may have a different encoding set for their projects. This should be consulted and used for the code generation.
Problem conclusion
The project's encoding setting will now be used in generating JAX-WS delegates, implementations and proxies. If this is unusable, UTF-8 will be the default. Fixed in Rational Application Developer V7.5.5
