APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When viewing "Thread Dataset I/O" (panel KD2VTIIO) from "Thread
Details" view with auto refresh enabled, the address space may
enter quiesce mode if storage is near exhaustion and abend if
storage is exhausted.

Local fix

  • A negligible amount of storage accrues while the user is
browsing "Thread Dataset I/O" data and is freed when they
logoff. If auto refresh is on (or the user manually refreshes
the display) for a significant amount of time, the amount of
accrued storage may contribute to a storage shortage condition.
To avoid this, the user should disable auto refresh when viewing
this panel.
