APAR status

  • Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

  • Within Cognos 8.2, the IIS app pools crashing frequently which
will stop the gateway from serving requests.
Gateway tracing was put in place to see if we can isolate the
issue. The message they get in Event Viewer is:

Error: Application Pool 'COGAppPool' is being automatically
disabled due to a series of failures in hte process(es) serving
that applicaiton pool.
Warning: A process serving application pool 'COGAppPool'
terminated unexpectedly. The process ID was '2928'. The process
exit code was '0xc0000005'.

I can have the customer setup a Diagnostic Rule using the IIS
Diagnostics Toolkit, stack trace is in the comments section.
